Hello and welcome to Orange Hunt if you are new here! Orange Hunt is located in Springfield, Virginia just southwest of the D.C. beltway and about 30 minutes from the heart of Washington, D.C.. Orange Hunt is a friendly community with a diverse population of long term residents and younger residents. Orange Hunt and surrounding neighborhoods prides themselves on community, where neighbors are friendly and care for one another.
There are a number of amazing attributes that the community has to offer, not only are residents friendly and neighborly, there are great parks, shops, public libraries, and public schools in the surrounding area. Orange Hunt, being in Fairfax County, offers some of the best public schools in the country. Orange Hunt Elementary School, Irving Middle School, and West Springfield High School are the neighboring public schools in the area. Pohick Library, located on Sydenstricker Road and Old Keene Mill Road, is a regional library that puts an emphasis on providing learning materials for children and students. As your students attend school, always keep in mind the free services that Pohick library has to offer! Rolling Valley West Park is one of many parks in the West Springfield and Orange Hunt Community. If you’re looking to play a game of pickle ball or to take your children to the playground, this park is a great option. There are multiple shopping centers surrounding the Springfield area with great shops and restaurants. Glory Days Grill, located in the Burke Town Plaza, was named Orange Hunt’s go-to restaurant of 2023 on Nextdoor. Old Keene Mill offers a number of great restaurants and shopping including, Duck Donuts, Pupatella Pizza, Mezeh, and a soon to be Trader Joe’s. Old Keene Mill shopping center is your one stop shop for running a quick errand. Springfield Town Center Mall is only a 10 minute drive from the Orange Hunt neighborhood, where you can find amazing restaurants and all the shopping you could ever need!
